Today we are going to present you with a recipe that is extremely simple to make, but with a mixture of flavours that will not leave you indifferent: Salmon with orange.
Ingredients for the orange salmon for 2 persons
- 150g orange juice
- 50g butter at room temperature
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 10 g butter
- 2 lloms de salmó sense pell (aproximadament 180 g per porció)
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
Preparation of the recipe
Let's start with the delicious orange sauce. In a saucepan over high heat, bring 150 g of orange juice to the boil and let it reduce for about 5 minutes to intensify the flavour. Then add 50 g of butter at room temperature and add it to the hot juice. Whisk the mixture with a whisk until you have a smooth, well-blended sauce. Keep the sauce warm while we work on the salmon.
To prepare the salmon, heat a tablespoon of olive oil and 10 g of butter in a frying pan. Cook the salmon loins for 5 minutes on the skin side, even if they are skinless. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Then turn the salmon over, season the other side with salt and pepper and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
We present the warm salmon on the plates, skin side down, and top it with a portion of the delicious orange sauce. The remaining sauce is served in a sauceboat, allowing each diner to serve themselves as they please - enjoy this exquisite combination of flavours!
