AEMET declares a yellow alert for rain and storms.

This week, the Valencian Community is facing a complicated weather situation, with a yellow alert for rain and storms. Aemet has forecast that the worst of the storm is still to come, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday, when heavy rainfall accompanied by storms and hail is expected in several areas of the region. Although the situation could improve after Wednesday, the likelihood of rain will persist until Friday, which calls for extreme caution.

On Tuesday, skies will start cloudy, and early warnings will be activated in the provinces of Castellón and Valencia for heavy rainfall that could reach up to 30 litres per hour, with thunderstorms accompanied by hail. The situation will become more complicated throughout the day, with the possibility of Aemet raising the alert if conditions worsen. Wednesday is expected to be the day with the highest accumulated rainfall, especially on the coast, while temperatures will start to drop, with minimum temperatures below 20 degrees in some areas.

Looking ahead to Thursday and Friday, although the situation is still uncertain, the sky is expected to remain cloudy with occasional showers and thunderstorms, especially in the northern half of the region. Temperatures will remain cool, with little variation compared to previous days, and the wind will be mostly light, with some moderate intervals in coastal areas and inland Castellón. The Valencian Community should prepare for a week of instability, with possible changes in the weather warnings as the storm evolves.
