The Assembly was held with high participation and a constructive spirit. Below, we share some images that reflect the involvement of our partners and the smooth running of the event.
Efficient irrigation to beat the heat
One of the most important tasks in summer is irrigation. High temperatures and lack of rainfall require efficient water management to prevent water stress in the trees. Drip irrigation systems are used and the soil condition is closely monitored to ensure adequate moisture levels.
Maintenance and plant health prevention
Light pruning is also carried out to ventilate the tree canopy and reduce the risk of pests and diseases. Preventive treatments are applied during this period and plantations are regularly inspected for signs of weakness, fungi or the presence of insects.
Soil nutrition for healthy budding
Summer is also the time to apply specific fertilisers that help prepare the trees for autumn budding. These fertilisation tasks are carried out with technical criteria, based on the needs of each plot and the results of soil analyses.
In short, although orange groves may seem quiet in summer, they are in fact full of unseen activity that is essential for ensuring a good future harvest. The ongoing work of our farmers is the foundation of the quality of our crops.
