The Unió Llauradora is holding its IV Jornadas Citrícolas de la Plana on 26th and 27th September at the Betxí Theatre-Auditorium, with around 300 people registered to attend. The event brings together leading figures from the citrus sector to discuss highly relevant issues, especially focusing on pest and disease control, one of the greatest challenges currently facing agriculture. The fight against these threats is a priority for farmers, technicians and administrations alike, seeking to guarantee the sustainability of crops.
The conference is supported by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, the Regional Government of Andalusia, the Valencian Institute of Agricultural Research (IVIA) and the Betxí Town Council. In addition, the company Sando Clementine is collaborating in the event, underlining the importance of public and private participation in the promotion of the citrus sector. This synergy is key to facing the challenges of plant health and improving competitiveness in an increasingly globalised market.
The official inauguration will take place on Thursday at 10 am, with the presence of Carles Peris, general secretary of La Unió Llauradora, Vicente Tejedo, regional secretary for Agriculture, and a representative of the Betxí Town Council. This edition promises to be a space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, fundamental for strengthening strategies against pests and guaranteeing the future of citrus cultivation in the region.
